James CLOONAN married Margaret HOWARD, (Co Offaly?)

Their children we know of, migrated to Australia in 1848 and 1858.

Sarah was born in Co Offaly, C1829.
Mary was born in Co Tipperary, C1834.
Laurence (my grandfather) was born, Co Tipperary, C1836.

There are many CLOONAN families in Australia, whose ancestors migrated from Offaly and other parts of Ireland last century, but we cannot trace our lineage back far enough to know how we are related.

Any information on my ancestors or other CLOONAN families in Ireland would be greatly appreciated.
