My Plunkett great grandfather was Thomas Plunkett, the earliest record I have
of him is his 1841 marriage to Elizabeth McDermottroe in Ballaghaderreen, Co.
Roscommon, at that time Ballaghaderreen was in Mayo. They had four children
baptized in Croghan, Co. Roscommon. Between about 1852-1856 my ggranfather
died and my ggrandmother and the children emigrated to Perth Co., Ontario. I
haven't been able to find the parents or siblings of Thomas. Most of the
Roscommon Plunkett families came from Meath, I don't know which line Thomas was
from, wish I could figure it out.
