I also have some kind of vague connection to Connolly or Connelly from
Monaghan. My grandmother, Annie McCabe, came from Greaghlone, Co. Monaghan
in early 1890s to San Francisco. Stayed at first with aunts, named Connelly
or Connolly and Donahue, or Donohue, who ran a big market on Market street
in SF.Suspect that funding for trip was from Aunts. 3 older sisters and a
brother, had also come by same process. Mary, Margaret, Bridget and Michael.
One of the Connolly ?Connelly descendants went on to become the Archbishop in
San Francisco in the 1930s, 1940s. Nancy Praetzel
