Hi List,

My gggrandfather Charles and his wife Catherine were from the
Townland of Leitrim, Parish of Tyholland, County Monaghan. I have an
extract of the baptismal records of three of their children. If any of
these names are connected to your family, please contact me.

John, son of Charles Callaghan and Catherine Collins, was born in the
Townland of Leitrim, parish of Tyholland, and was baptized March 15
1836, by the Rev. P.M. McMahon, P.P. Sponsors, Patrick Donnelly and
Catherine McGee.

Catherine, daughter of Charles Callaghan and Catherine Collins, was born
in the Townland of Leitrim, parish of Tyholland, and was baptized July
19, 184[3] by the Rev. P.M. McMahon, P.P. Sponsors Bernard Callen and
Mary Callaghan

Patrick, son of Charles Callaghan and Catherine Collins, was born in the
Townland of Leitrim, parish of Tyholland, and was baptized December 15
1844, by the Rev. P.M. McMahon, P.P. Sponsors Patrick Woods and Brigid
Callen.

My ggrandfather, Bernard Callaghan, the son of Charles and Catherine,
was born 15 October 1841 but I do not have the record of his baptism.

There was another son, Thomas, born about 1847.

All these, with the exception of the father Charles, arrived in New York
City, USA, on 25 May 1853 aboard the ship Enterprise.
