Hello fellow Switzer researchers
My 2nd cousin on another branch who is also into family history has found
today the following which although I can't claim him one of you may be able
to:

In 1855 Slater's directory for Macclesfield for someone on the mailing list,
and there was a tailor called Thomas SWITZER living in Derby Street.
