Subject: [IP] Irish Palatines on BBC Radio 4 yesterday

Perhaps, like me, you missed yesterday's UK BBC Radio 4 programme, "The Long View". It discussed the 1709 Palatine immigration into the UK and linked it to more recent immigration issues. You can see information about the programme on the BBC's website at the following address. This shows source material, and should allow you to listen to the programme, although I am having difficulty downloading it.

The "expert" on the programme seems to have been Dr William O'Reilly of The National University of Ireland, Galway. Not a name I recognise - I wonder if he is a member of this mailing group or of the Irish Palatine Association.
