This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this--- a global celebration!
It is cool there are people in so many different countries on this forum who are planning on celebrating the Palatine Migration Experience. It is really wonderful.

Lots of good ideas. I see no reason to restrict participation to one
venue or another. Some may not be able to do a marathon trip across
Europe (& to the new world?) but some of us may be interested in
doing so. I like the idea of a sequence of events in the countries of
significance to the migration, in order of the original journey. A
specific day of events and hopefully local government commemoration
in each locale. I know after the trip to Germany in 2004, there are a
number of new friends there who would love to help organize such an
event. After the final and most important event in Ireland, there
could be local events in Canada, US, Australia as well for those
returning (and anyone else who really wants a long trip!). I would be
willing to help in some way.
