Good morning all,
I t makes me feel proud of my heritage and thankful for the struggle of our
ancestors when I read the emails from New Zealand, Australia, England,
Ireland, Canada and the USA; we have good genes.
Barbara (Ruttle)Heck's brother, Daniel Ruttle, was grandfather of Elizabeth
Teskey who married Henry Mick( My ancestor)
Henry & Elizabeth's children were: Henry, Peter, Dora, Richard, Mary Anne,
Joseph and John
Old Henry born in 1674 in the Palatinate had a son John who had a son Henry
who married Elizabeth Teskey and who we trace back our ancestry.
In 1715 old Henry was listed as being head of a Palatine family in Ireland,
living on the Southwell Estate ar Rathkeale in County Limerick(the property
of the first Lord Southwell who was raised to the peerage in 1717 - he died
in 1720 age 53). Thus Henry became the Founder of the Mich-Mick-Micks
Family - our family eventually spread to Canada, America and beyond. There
is a Mick reunion in Micksburg Ontario every second year on the August long
weekend. There is a large black book that traces the families. Many of the
people in the emails are in that book;ones that I remember are Lawrence,
Young, Doupe(Dobe) Lawson, Watson, Tesky, Ruttle and Sparling.
My plan is to visit Ireland and see as much of our history as possible. I
hope to co-cordinate it with the anniversay date. It would be great to meet
others.

Warmest Regards
Barb McNichol
(Brampton Ontario)
