In a list of ancestors provided by on 8/03/2000 I found a Johanna
Crowley (b. circa 1850)

I have a Johanna Crowley (nee. Donovan) in my mother's line, which I have not
been active in researching. She was my grandmother's paternal grandmother. I
don't have a date on her but the birthdate you provided of c. 1850 would be
about right. I also know that she emigrated to the Boston area after my
greatgrandfather, Timothy Crowley, died (around 1911) to join another child who
had emigrated earlier. I had been planning to request a copy of her death
certificate as a way to kick off my research into that line but haven't yet
found the time.

The only inconsistency I see in the little information you provided is that my
Johanna Crowley was from County Cork. Is there any possibility that your
Johanna was not from Sligo?
