Hi all,

I am seeking information on our COONEY and STRAP forbears. We know that
Bridget COONEY was born C 1831-2 in Tipperary Ireland. On her marriage
certificate her parents are named as John COONEY (farmer) and Honoria STRAP.
She may have had a brother named Thomas who was baptised at Cashel,
Tipperery in 1848.

Bridget came to Australia aboard the "Credina" arriving on the 3rd November
1853.
She had a cousin named John O'Brien whom she went to live with upon arrival.
He was living at Point Henry in Victoria at the time.

She married Thomas Bensted in Geelong, Victoria on 21st August 1856.

I would love to hear from anyone who can give me any information on her
family and forbears, or any idea of the best way to track her, considering
I'm in Australia.
