Sorry I didn't see this before, but I'd guess that the subject line convinced
me that there wasn't anything in the letter requiring a "geographical" reply.
I've got to spend more time reading all of the letters, I guess <gr>.

However, you received a good response from Clare. I'll only amplify on her
letter, and state that the townland of Rath is about one mile south of Kilkenny
West townland. This would place Rath a little less than 2 miles ENE of
Glassan or, alternatively, 5 or 6 miles NE of downtown Athlone.
