Cara,
Happiness has to be to be in I r e l a n d !!!!!!!!!!
Powerscourt and Bray area is where I found a slew of the HEATLEY family. I
only found one gravestone with EDWARD HEATLEY b. 1808 - d. 1864 right next to a
torn down church, others were found right outside of the beautiful
Powerscourt Estate, while a few ohers were located in surrounding church yards.
The only difficulty I have in accepting this particular Edward is because he
would have been at least 40 years old when ELLEN CARR would have been only 18
years of age. Not a definate 'no' but questionable?? Unless Edward had an
Edward then his son would more likely marry Ellen Carr at aged 22-23 in about
1852 or 1853.
Using everything available at the present time, I highly suspect that
Edward's father was a Thomas. The ages of the two boys fit neatly into Edward's
lifetime!
Ellen left Ireland prior to 1881 and showed up in Everton, Lancashire,
England Census in 1881. Her two sons @ Thomas b. 1855 - d. XXXX and @ William b.
1859 - d. 1937 USA were found in the same census at ages 26 and 22 years of age,
both unmarried, and both located in Barren-in-Furness. William is my
greatgrandfather .
This is all that I have at present. MASSIVE LUCK CARA. TRUST THAT YOU ARE
THOROUGHLY ENJOYING YOURSELF AMONG FRIENDS.
BILL
