My ggf Edward Burne, c 1796 – 1884, lived at Ballykeane Stringer near
Redcross. He was a Methodist. My ggm Mary Radford, c 1810 – 1900, I know
nothing much about. They had at least 11 children :1. Eliza Anne,
bapt.17July 1831 aged 2, who married Thomas Woodburne of Ballinatone,
2.Susan Grace, bapt. 17July 1831,who married William Haskins of Fairwood and
they later lived at Cronelea, 3. William Leonard,bapt. 19 May 1833, who
married Jessie Webster and lived at Ballinacarrig, near Carlow town, 4. Mary
Jane, bapt. 19 April 1835, who married John Sutton, shopkeeper of Rathdrum,
5. John Joseph, who married Charlotte Hinkson and lived at Johnstown, north
of Arklow, and later Templerainey, 6. Sidney Elizabeth ? 7. Victoria
Adelaide, who married Thomas Richardson of Seaview (Ballyherrig) 8. Selena
Maria died 1847 aged 28, 9. Harriet Louisa, died 1849 aged 25 10. Edward
Alexander, who married Mary Bates and lived at Carrigslaney, 11. My
grandfather Thomas William, born c 1851 married Margaret Letitia Haskins and
emigrated in 1911 to Queensland, Australia with their 6 children.
