Here is a line of descent from William Amos that looks like it may be your line.
It is a 5 generation chart and I appologize for the size of this document.
I am also interested in your mention of AMOS. I am also descended from William
Amos see 5 generation descendant chart:
Descendants of William Amos
Generation No. 1
1. WILLIAM1 AMOS was born 1690 in ,England, and died 1759 in ,Baltimore, MD. He
married ANN MAULDEN January 1713 in ,Baltimore, MD. She was born Abt. 1695.
Notes for WILLIAM AMOS:
Colonial Families vol 3. Our Amos Family by Sara McFadden Amos. MD records.
Griffith and Allied Families by Loraine Harting, Dayton, Wa. 3 Apr 1985. Maurine
Schmitz and Glendola Peck compiled the following:
William Amos our immegrant ancestor, was born in England abt 1690 and died in
1759 in Baltimore County, MD,in that portion which later became Harford County
in 1773. He and his wife were buried on the family homestead but when the
property (later called Mt Soma) went out of the possesion of his descendants,
their remains were moved to the Fallston cemetery at the Friends Meeting House.
He was not a Quaker but his son William was. William Amos, Sr. was laid to rest
beside his son's grave and a stone properly acquired at that time was engraved
"William Amos of England. Died 1759" Of his wife we know only that her name was
Ann, shown by the register of births of their children and by the mention in his
will, showing that she outlived him. An unmarked crude stone supposedly markes
her grave at Fallston.
Land records at the Hall of Records, Annapolis, MD give account of William Amos'
purchases and possession of more than 1300 acres in Baltimore County. His Will
was written Sept 24, 1757 and was proven Mar 10, 1759. Baltimore Co. Will Book 2
Notes for ANN MAULDEN:
