RE: Leaving it all the our feline companions !!
I had a good chuckle over Shirley 's relating of her relative's
will leaving all her money to her cats. She must have loved
them dearl y to have given such exact instructions for each
one. Sad though that she had no human that meant more!
I was also very interested in one of the names mentioned
i.e. Ann Elizabeth MATTHEWS, especially a s she was
from Ryde.
My maternal grandmother was Emma Jane Matthews and
the family came from Ryde. I can't find Ann Elizabeth
in the information I have so far uncovered but she could
still be there somewhere, especially as all the family were
in Ryde.
Just as an aside one of my great aunts also left all her
money to cats. In her case it was spite as she fell out
with her family and changed her will leaving it all
to the local stray cats home !!! This too was in Ryde!!!
Must have been alot of pampered cats around at that time !!
Thanks Shirley for sharing your ancestors will with us
I hope you get a copy of this e-mail as well as it being on
the list I am fairly new to the game and typed in both your
e-mail address as well as the list hoping that it would go to both.
Let me know if this arrives.
All the best from too warm B.C. - Jean
