My son ,who has been backpacking, thru the Far East and Antipodes has kept in
touch via "Hot-mail". It has proved very successful, on the whole and I
presume he has been able to track-down Cybercafes etc, without too much
difficulty or perhaps a computer linked up to the Internet at the
hotels/hostels where he's stayed

To get onto Hotmail, go to http://hotmail.msn.co.uk. Give it a trial before
setting off to make sure there's no problems.
