Angelia, I think I may have some info on your TAYLOR in FRESHWATER. I
found this information ona Family Tree Maker CD . This person is also in my
pedegree on the CANTELO side.. This TAYLOR full name is ROBERT TAYLOR brn
1708 in Shorwell died 1754 in FRESHWATER married BETTY BARTLET 1738, had a
daughter ELIZBETH TAYLOR ,Brn Jan.1, 1743or44 died 1793, married May20,1762
in Shorwell to JOHN CANTELO, brnJan 18 1741/42 died 1825 in NEWport. They
had a son (2)John CANTELO (because of so many John's I'll number them to
try and miss the confussion). born 1762- 1831 in shorwell, married May 24,
1794 in Freshwater, April 24, 1831 in Carrisbrooke. He married HESTER
SPENCER,brn DEC. 26 1774 in Freshwater died 1803 -1868. I don't know why
there are 2 dates., They #2 had a son James CANTELO brn on Jan. 26 or 29
1800 died EST. abt 1829-1895, he in turn married Harriet PRANGELL brn July
1801 in CARRISBROOKE, IOW married May27, 1822, thier daughter Harriet
CANTELO brn 1827, England Married Richard STRICKLAND, a saddler, in Jan.
11, 1853 in ST Mary's church at ALVERSTOKE (mainland). Parents home was in
NEWPORT (on island). Now RICHARD STRICKLAND was my GRT, GRT grandfather. I
