Hi List

I have just joined this list as my BREWINs moved to the Isle of Wight from
Leicestershire during the 1890's.

George Whitehead BREWIN (b 1859, occ master of Trinity lightship) nickname
'Dudley' and his wife Janet BREWIN nee JAMIESON had the following children

Jack BREWIN
Dolly BREWIN
Agnes BREWIN
Tom BREWIN
George BREWIN
Ethel BREWIN
William BREWIN
Walter BREWIN

>From information on marriage and birth certificates the BREWINs appear to
have lived around Victoria Road, East Cowes. (1896 - Gladstone Terrace,
1919 - Beaconsfield Close) and I believe some of the families may have
remained in this area as I recall visiting Dolly ELDERFIELD nee BREWIN just
before her death in 1978 in Victoria Rd.

I would love to contact anybody who is also researching the BREWIN families.
By the way my immediate interest is my grandmother-in-law, Ethel - see
above, who married Thomas STEVENS from Bucks in 1919.

Regards Gillian
