Can anyone tell me anything about the WARD family of Northwood, near Cowes?
I would be especially interested in any connections to the individuals
mentioned below.

My gggg-gm Charity WARD married William SAUNDERS, a London physician, in
1781. She died in 1799 and was the daughter of Gibraltar Resident John WARD.
In 1817 her stepdaughter Mary SAUNDERS (daughter of William's first wife)
married George Henry WARD of Northwood Park, Cowes, who died in 1849. Mary
died at Northwood in 1838.

I don't know for certain that these two WARD families were the same, but it
seems quite likely.

Ward was used as a middle name for several of the descendants of William and
Charity, including my gg-gf Hugh Ward SAUNDERS.
