Hello List:

Whilst in Brighstone, IOW, recently tracking down my CREETH roots, I
noticed the following. I think it is Kate Burhouse who searches for RANNs
(and you may have them already, Kate): Anyway, here's what I found.

A.] Marriage at Brighstone parish church:

Brighstone
Amy Jane RANN

Groom: Son of George Charles HAYLES otherwise WEEKS, Carter
Bride: Dtr of James RANN, carter

Witnesses: Frank William RANN, George Osman BROWN
Bride, Groom & Witnesses all signed their names. No explanation concerning
the "HAYLES otherwise WEEKS" description.

B.] From 1891 Census for Brighstone:

At delightfully-named "Snowdrop Cottage" lived

Daniel CREETH Widower aged 85, Retired blacksmith, born Brighstone
Ann RANN Housekeeper aged 68, born Godshill
