Hi Phil ,

Your William ORCHARD is not the son of Mick's William and Jane but the son
of William ORCHARD born abt 1808 who married Harriet Slade (b.abt 1805) in
Arreton on 8th April 1829.

William and Harriet ORCHARD had the following children

William ORCHARD b.1832 Shalfleet. m Mary Charlotte FLEMING 11Feb 1854
Henry ORCHARD b.1834 Shalfleet m. Fanny HEAL 10 Mar 1857
Emily ORCHARD b. 1838 Arreton
Charles ORCHARD b.1840 Arreton m. Fanny Ann COMDEN 4 Jun 1865
Harriet ORCHARD b.1843 Arreton m John MABEY 15 Feb 1864
Helena ORCHARD b. 1847 Arreton

Henry ORCHARD was my GG Grandfather and I I know quite a bit about his
descendants but I know very little about his siblings or his parents so
Phil, I would be interested to hear anything you mght know about what
happened to William ORCHARD / Mary Charlotte FLEMING I can't find any trace
of them on the 1881 census.

And if any other listers have any information about the other ORCHARDS ,
again, I would be very happy to hear from you.
