Don't know the area, or context of the document so the following are
just thoughts that come to mind, apologies if they lead you up a blind
alley, but maybe...........
1) Manors owned by families, often carried the family name; so was
Pennington was a separate manor owned by a family called Narvot (or
something similar).
2) Narvot has been misinterpreted and it reads Parva or Parvae (little
Pennington)
3) Narvot has been misnterpreted and it actually reads something along
the lines of 'David Wavell de Pennington natus" (born).
