Hello,

My name is Karen Struve and I have just recently returned from a trip to
England with a side trip to the Isle of Wight. I was fortunate to find the
birth record of my great grandfather, James William COLEMAN born 31 Dec 1843
in Godshill, IOW. As usual, one bit of information leads to many more
questions.

I received a certified copy of James William COLEMAN's entry of birth in the
mail yesterday. The certificate indicates that his parents were James
COLEMAN and Sarah (FRANKLIN) COLEMAN.

While at the records office I found a several other children previously born
to James COLEMAN and Jemimia (FRANKLIN) COLEMAN. I also found this family in
the 1841 census listing the wife as Jemima.

They appeared to be gone by 1851. I know they moved to Toronto and James and
Jemima are said to buried in Toronto.

Does anyone have any information on the FRANKLIN family?
