Hi Geoff & Jane Aslett and John Newport,

Sorry for not getting in touch sooner - have had a lot of emails to trawl my way through. I have had a look in the 1851 Census index and have come across only one ASLETT living on the island - William, aged 21, born in the parish of Calbourne, Isle of Wight. Further information may be found on HO/107/1665/361. Hope this may be of some use to you.
