Hi Listers,

Any other IOW THORN(E) researchers out there? Looking to see if anyone can link to any of the following THORN(E)'s...

Thomas THORN born 5 May 1856, in Beaulieu was the son of George and Maria THORN (nee COLLIS). He married Sarah Jane HARDING during the early part of 1881 in the district of Farnham. She appears to have used the name Jane as a first name (1881 census).

By the next generation of THORN's the spelling had changed to THORNE. Thomas and Sarah had 4 children:

Edward George - baptised 20 Feb 1881, Isle of Wight Bible Christian (Newport Circuit) at Littletown Chapel. George appears to have attended Arreton Church of England School and was born 20 Nov 1880 in Arreton.

William James - born 14 Nov 1883, Longlane, Arreton.

Clara - born 9 June 1886 at Arreton and baptised there 25 Nov 1886.

George Thomas - baptised 3 Nov 1889 at Barton.

Thomas's first wife Sarah Jane died 2 Feb 1891 and was buried at Barton Municipal Cemetry on 6 Feb 1891. He later remarried his employer Sarah Jane HERRINGTON 22 Dec 1892.

If anyone can help with any more info on these THORNE's or has a link, I would love to hear from you.
