You will have noticed from your last Journal that I am taking over as
editor (not till the November issue in fact)

I would like to include half a page on 'IW List traffic' each quarter -
for information and might encourage other people to come aboard (as we're
in nautical mode with Elmo on the Mattthew)

Can I have opinions please on whether you think this might be a good idea?

Be warned - if so I would be asking for IIWFHS/Lists volunteers - one to
monitor and report each quarter so you'd only have to do it once if enough
people could be persuaded:-) You would get the other half page to
introduce yourself, say a bit about you and what you're researching - and
how helpful and freindly you have found the List:-) So, for the November
one I would be looking for someone to monitor July, August and September
(closing date for me to receive report is 1 October)

I am also looking for ideas about what 'overseas' researchers would find
helpful to have in the Journal and what sort of problems you trip up on in
trying to do IW family history research at a distance.

I shall also be looking for articles too - long or short filler pieces -
so get creative. Otherwise, if I have to write it myself, you'll just end
up with stuff on Cowes and my maritime ancestors:-))
