Hi Angela

That looks like an IW Record Office reference - they hold the Newport
Borough records.

Newport had its own Quarter Sessions but the main Quarter Sessions for the
rest of the Island before c.1888 are at the Hampshire Record Office as it
was then part of the county of Southampton (i.e. (South)hamp(ton)shire)
