Dear All,
Happy New Year and hope Elmo will approve of this.........
We have DEACONs in and around Fordingbridge from about 1745. We don't know
where they came from, but there are strong IOW links throughout, so it may
have been IOW.
Of course, this is before BMDs available easily, but just in case anyone
has the information......
Francis DEACON, bn about 1745, married Martha SILLEY in Fordingbridge in
1770. They seem to have founded a huge dynasty of DEACONs - unless anyone
knows better.
There were 2 sons born to Jabez DEACON and Sarha (INGS) in IOW in 1867 and
1868, but they had the rest of their children in Blissford, near
Fordingbridge. Jabez was Francis's Great-Grandson.
Am struggling with some bug, so have time to speculate! And get
optimistic.
Best wishes,
Liz
