On my Tree is James DEACON who married Mabel ROGERS (no further
information) at Brading, 1765. The family, which included four
children (names not known), lived at Hill Farm, 'above the Downs', St
Helen's, where James DEACON died in 1773, leaving the farm to Mabel.
She married my 5GUncle, James DALLIMORE in 1775 and they had five
children. Mabel pre-deceased James, 1793, and in her Estate papers
James DALLIMORE is referred to as 'Farmer'. It is not known if he tried
to buy the estate from the DEACON children, but it is known that he died
in the House of Industry, Newport.
