My Gt Gt Grandmother Alice Rebecca Hall was born (Isle of Wight) I don't know where. Her father was definitely Henry Hall and her mother was Mary (I think).
Alice married a Charles Ashton abt 1839 in St Ives Cambridgeshire,
She and her family lived in Houghton/Wyton nr St Ives all her life. Now on Census 1841 thru to 1891 all mention birth place as Isle Of Wight. I would not know where to start to try and find where in the IOW she was born. I wondered if there was an IOW index for all the births born in or around that time. She is my 'brick wall' and would love to find some information on her. I have her marriage cert which mentions her father as Henry, even his birth or marriage would be a help!!
