Hi June.
Do you know the neighborhood in Providence where your relatives
settled? Mine settled first in the Charles St. area? I'm looking for
relatives, Altieri's, of my grandfather's first wife (Carmina Maria),
both from either Fontegreca or Valle Agricola. He settled in the
Charles St. neighborhood (for his first trip to the US). I can't
confirm
whether she was in the US nor not. A woman with the same name
came to the Charles St. area at a different time than my grandfather,
but she would been two generations too old. My grandfather was
married to Carmina at the time of his second trip here and went
on to Lawrence, Massachusetts.
Does any of these names/places come up in your research?
Chris
