The only cure is to run into a brick wall.

That usually gives you a break in the research, and time for either a
research hint to be learned, or some other clue to be found.

I like to fill those breaks with making wine, Italian cooking, and looking
at photos of Italy.

I have genealogy bad. Maybe I am an Italophile! The most interesting
part is learning where family worked and lived, and getting images of
those places.
