Here are two final point:
(1) If you are a citizen of the United States, according to the U.S.
Constitution, you cannot accept a title of Nobility from any foreign
country, King, etc. So, even if you had claim to such a title, it may be
illegal for you to accept it. This may be true if you are a citizen of
other foreign countries that are republics or a similar type of nation.
Again, since Nobility does not "officially" exist according to the
government of the Republic of Italy, there may be nothing to claim.
(2) However, if your ancestors were indeed nobility, there may be a lot of
interesting documents and history that you can find about them! I would
look for vital records: birth, marriage and death records of them tracing
them back as far as possible in Italy, and then try to match them to
Patents/Diplomas of Nobility, Confirmations of Nobility or official
Nobility documents and histories.
