Great explanation, David - thanks - June :-)

Re "Item Number:"
Some LDS Films have more than one short work on the same film, so as to
fill up the roll and so as not to waste film, reels, and storage space.
When so, they are numbered Item I, Item 2, Item 3, etc.
If there is only one long "item" on a film, there is no item number, so
leave it blank.
The item number, if any, is given in 2 places:
1) In a Title or Word search after the Film Number, e.g., Film # 00000001
Item 17
2) In a Film/Fiche Search (by film number), all the items are listed in
numerical order.
The different items on a film may or may not be related to each other in
content.

Pat have you ever fill out a "Request for Photocopies" for the LDS? I'm sure
you have. On the new sheet that you fill out has something I do not know,
how to fill in - under "General Microfilm or Microfiche", where it says
"Item Number" - what do I write in there?
Junie :-)
