In doing the Genealogy of my ancestors from Spain I came across a very interesting information regarding Birth Certificates. I just received some Birth Certificates from Spain written in the 19th Century and early 20th Century that not only give the information about the name and age of the parents of the child but also of the grandparents on both sides. It also indicated whether they were alive or dead at the time of birth.
Was this also a custom to do that in Sicily?
Carlos
