Subject: Surname CATTANEA Migration to France? Why???

Talking to an 'Italian' in who lives in Belgium, and knows where his family
roots were/are....he said that his family, probably his grandfather,
worked their way across Europe. Maybe working in one place for a few
months and then moving on. When they found plentiful and steady work they
settled.. Other families from the same village have travelleed as far as
USA, Australia,South Africa, Argentina and France.
any help ?
