You want to ask for a photocopy of the "Registro di Leva di [your ancestor's
name]"

Subject: [Italy] Writing for records 2

Ciao list!
I have read the letters on the list, and some online resources with
letter translation to request records. So I think I can put together a
decent request in Italian. However what I have been reading are all
requests for marriage, birth or death records, or names of parents. I
have all that information on my relative. What I need is the term for
Military Records. I know to ask for an "estratto" or extract. Can
someone give me the correct term in Italian for - military records?
Grazie,
"rwalker"
