Thanks for your reply and opinion. We do not even know if Guppy is Italian,
the only thing I noticed is that she pronounces "Nana" the Italian way and
that is what got me thinking, Italy. I agree that the y would have been an
i if it was Italian just as Malnati the i is pronounced "e." If the G is
not in the Italian alphabet how does one explain Guido and other G first
names? I recognize it would not have the same hard sound of G as in
English. Any more advice is appreciated. The ideas of
Juppi/Jeppi/Cuppi/Ceppi as the original name are excellent and we will try
looking in that direction.
