Hi Guys!

I have been on this list for a while, and have just been quietly observing,
while learning some interesting things. I decided to go ahead and tell you
all what I am looking for, in hopes of getting some counsel or advice - I am
currently at a standstill.

My great-grandfather, Vito Squicciarini, was born in 1901 and emigrated from
Italy before 1929. He married Margaret Marzigliano in 1928, but I don't
know if he was married in Italy or not. All the Squicciarinis are reported
to be from Bitetto, a small town outside Bari.

I would like to get a copy of Vito Squicciarini's birth certificate, but I
don't know where to write, and I don't know what to write. Can anyone help
me?

I have searched on the Ellis Island website and I found several Vito
Squicciarinis, but none that were the right year or age. I would like to
find my great-grandfather's ship manifest/naturalization/etc, but I really
don't know where else to look. As you can probably tell, I am pretty new at
genealogy.
