Hi everyone,
I have the same situation as the original poster, Tom. I also live in a
rural area and it takes a planned day off to drive to the nearest FHC.
Can the LDS records at least be ordered online for delivery to the
nearest FHC center, so one doesn't have to make two trips to their
locations?
I was hopeful that some of the Italian data might be on CD's, but it
sounds unlikely. I am most interested in my 'Italian half' of my
family, but it seems to be the most difficult to research... due to lack
of records online, Italian databases online, etc.
thanks for the info,
MeLani

--You can search the Salt Lake Library at www.familysearch.org.
-- All film and microfiche (not books) can be ordered through
--your local Family History Center. Films are $3.50 each for a
--three week period. Microfiche is $0.10 per fiche (be aware
--of how many fiche are in your order, many can contain up to
--50 pages). All films and fiche must be read at the FHC, they
--usually cannot leave the premises.

--To my knowledge, i dont think people have the fiche on cd's.
--i believe the only way to accomplish that would be to save
--each record one by one onto the cd.
--please correct me if im wrong. (ive tried to have this done
--thru my lds also.)

--Does anyone have access to LDS records? I am not sure if the CD's are
--available and people collect them.
--I would like to check out one village; Ciorlano, Caserta,
--Italy - Title
--Registri dello stato civile, 1809-1929.
--Anyone have that fiche or CD? I am working on a mis-spelling
--hunch that
--would solve a large problem for me.
--I am rural and the nearest LDS church is not near. If someone has the
--fiche.CD it would be great.
--Thanks,
--Tom
