Hi all -

I am searching for information on
John GOUGH of the Clonmel area
father of Mary Ellen GOUGH b. Aug 1861 or 1864 (seen both dates)
who emigrated to US in 1885 and married John Henry MCCARTHY in 1886 in
Fairfield CT and then had 9 children.

John Gough had two daughters that we know of, Mary Ellen and Catherine.
Catherine married John MCDONALD of Kilkenny (not sure if thats county or
town) and had two daughters,
Kathleen, who married John RYAN
Eileen , who married ____LONERGAN

I still keep in close touch with my Ryan and Lonergan cousins, and in
fact will be spending August with them. We are working on this line on
both sides of the Atlantic and they are not having much luck either.
They are searching church records, and I have had someone look up Goughs
in Griffiths for this area, but I can't seem to tie them together.
So I thought I would see if someone on the list had any ideas.
Mary Ellen's death certificate does not list a mothers name
unfortunately.
