Also, this morning the head of our church dedicated a new LDS Temple in
Palmyra, NY which is where Joseph Smith had his first vision and where the
church began. We see temples as a means of linking generation of families
together, and most of my family is centered in the central region of NY
state that is served by that new temple. It really made me aware that I
should be anxiously doing my own genealogy! It's funny how strongly I could
feel my parents as i watched the dedication ceremony. This time when I go
to Ireland, it may be mostly sightseeing, next time I will have to go to
find old roots.
