Hi, In the Wellington County Directory and Gazetteer for 1867 there is a
listing for Moses Pattison who was a freeholder on Concession 8, Lot 17.
There are also listings for Anthony, Benjamin and John PattERson. Also have
you visited the Wellington site at http://www.rootsweb.com/~onwellin/ They
have great publications you can order - church records, cemetery
transcriptions, etc. I also have ancestors from Arthur and have found their
information to be very helpful. Good luck.

Fellow members of the Irish-Canadian List:

I'm looking for information on my great-great-great grandparents, John
Pattison (1781-1868) and Mary ? (1779-1851/61), from Ireland. They settled
in Arthur Township, Wellington County, Ontario in the late 1830s.

I'm also looking for information on my great-great grandparents, John
Pattison (?-?) and Hannah Maria Smith (1809-1872), from Ireland. Hannah
died in Harriston, Minto Township, Wellington County.

My great grandparents were James Smith Pattison (1838-1912), born in
Arthur, and Frances Morrison (1851-1939), born in Toronto. They were
married in Mount Forest, Wellington County in 1870, lived in Harriston
from about 1871 to 1882, and moved to Park Head, Amabel Township, Bruce
County in 1882. They both died in Hepworth, Amabel Township.

My grandparents were Victor Emil Pattison (1877-1940), born in Harriston,
and Elizabeth Jane Crawford (1884-1956), born in Allenford, Bruce County.
They were married in Allenford in 1905 and both died in Shallow Lake, Grey
County.

I'd be happy to hear from anyone who has knowledge of these folks.
