Hi Leo
When you say St. Patrick area, are you referring to St. Patrick Settlement,
which became Ste. Catherine de Fossambault in the 1830s? It's outside
Quebec City in County Portneuf. There are several Monaghan families there
and it seems that they didn't stay there long.
Edward Monaghan & Elizabeth Young, their son John m. Jane Madden in 1840 in
Ste. Catherine
Edward Monaghan's second wife was Catherine Cline, they m. in 1835 in Ste.
Catherine
I also have a Catherine Monaghan married to Patrick Condon, their son m. in
1844 in Ste. Catherine
Only Catherine Monaghan and Patrick Condon were still in Ste. Catherine in
the 1851 census.
Hope this helps.
Linda
