Want to check the census for a particular state and county?
Go to the site below and first click on the state
ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/census/
Then click on the county of interest. A text file will appear and you can
use your browser EDIT and FIND commands to search for a particular surname
or even a unique first name.
This is a partial record and is far from complete but there are lots of
counties represented.
