Glen's data says William's parents were Samuel Jackson and Rebecca (Woodson) Jackson. Glen states Samuel was probably born in Ireland.
Excerpts of a letter written January 1, 1926 by granddaughter Susan B. (Jackson) Hendrick, daughter of Franklin Jackson. "My father's father (William R. Jackson) was a tall six footer of fair complexion, a deacon in the Baptist Church. He had a brother, Benjamin, who was a preacher in the Primitive Baptist Church. Also a cousin, Howard Jackson (Benjamin's son,) also a Baptist Minister. Grandfather moved to Allen County, Kentucky, near Russellville and spent his last days there. I was born January 7, 1837 in Allen County, Kentucky. In 1838 my Father moved to Missouri and settled in Boone County, near where we lived until 1854, when he moved to Saline County, Missouri. Apparently his brother Elijah and half-brother Stephen had moved earlier to Boone County, Missouri.

Union Electric (Roach) Cemetery is located in the SE !/4 NE !/4, Section 31, T38, R17, Camden County, Missouri, on the south side of old Highway 54 and 200 yards north of the present Highway 54. When Union Electric Company built Bagnel Dam, Lake of the Ozarks was created, flooding the Osage and Niangua River bottoms and covering many of the oldest cemeteries in Camden County. Union Electric Company bought ground near Roach, Missouri and moved 286 bodies to this site. Rosa E. was originally buried in the Prairie Hollow Cemetery, grave #759 and her remains are now in Lot 1140 of Union Electric (Roach) Cemetery.
