Lamonte Jacques

Emmett Lamonte Jacques, 82, of 935 Baxter St., Unit 3, died Monday, Jan.
28, 2002.
A native of DeKalb County, Mr. Jacques was a son of the late Emmett and
Jewell Brownlee Jakes. He was an engineer with General Motors for 25 years
and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of the
Franklin County Lions Club, the Sandy Cross Volunteer Fire Department and
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Bowman. He was a past member and deacon of
Zidon Baptist Church.
Services will be at noon Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, with
the Rev. Chris Pritchett officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Skelton Jacques; two daughters, Bennie
Kuehnle, Texas, and Melanie Painter, Alpharetta; three sons, Kenneth
Jacques, Covington, Jeff Jacques, Franklin County, and Ron Ethridge,
Hartwell; two sisters, Rose Queen and Annelle Jordan, both of Tucker; eight
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
