Hi Jennifer

I'm afraid no CUMMINGS. There are 2 CUMMING names listed as follows:

CUMMING, Alexander born 1766, estate owner in St Vincent, died there in
September 1851.

CUMMING, Anthony born in 1799, died at Port of Spain, Trinidad, on 16
February 1861.

Neither is your man as you know yours died in Tasmania. However, they could
be related as I've found JOHNSON and JOHNSTON referring to the same family.

Do you have much other information on your man?

Cheers
Chris, Sydney
