Hi, I really don't have any information on your Soloman James, but there might
be a link. My oldest James is Laban James who was born in NC in 1769. He
married Rebeccah McBride in 1800 in Grainger TN, and finally ended up in
Alabama. They had several sons,

Eszaner Issac James, 1805, TN
Pleasant James, 1809, TN
Jesse James, 1814
Laban James, 1814, TN
Sarah B. James, 1825
Solomon James, 1825, AL (wonder who this Solomon is named after)
Charles James, 1828, AL

We may have a link of some sort with my Solomon. There is another name that
keeps popping up in the family and that is Newberry James.

I live in Montgomery, Alabama.
