There has been quite a bit of traffic on the JAMES line lately. Thought I
would add my two-cents-worth. I descend from:

Note: Capt. of Dragoons under Wm. of Orange during Irish Wars.

2. John JAMES b. c1688 Bristol, Eng. m. c1712 Eng.
d. c1725 Armsfield, James City Co, VA
Note: Came to VA in 1713 to claim wife's inheritance.
+Justine THRUSTON b. 08/26/1691 Eng. d. VA
2. William JAMES b. c1711 d. c1750 Williamsburg, Craven Co, SC
Note: Will written 07/09/1749, probated 01/18/1750.
Williamsburg, SC named for him.
+Elizabeth WITHERSPOON m. c1724
2. Elizabeth JAMES b. N. Ireland (my 7G-Grandmother)
Note: migrated to SC in 1732. She had 14 children.
d. 12/01/1782 Kingstree, Williamsburg Co, SC
+James ERVIN b. c1678 Ulster, County Downe, N. Ireland
m. County Downe, N. Ireland
d. 07/31/1776 Kingstree, Williamsburg Co, SC
Occ: Planter
Note: Elder in Presbyterian Church.
Kingstree was the name of their plantation.

None of this is documented, sorry to say, and I welcome any additions or
corrections. I obtained most of the information from "History of Williamsburg"
by Wm. Willis Bodde and the rest from FTM, IGI and the message boards.
